It was a great week meeting some of the talented and wonderful people of Dover.

On Friday we attended the launch party of Fizzle Whizz, a local business making homemade bath products using natural ingredients. Products which have been approved by a chemist and state the ingredients so you know exactly whats going onto your skin. We had a great time trying all the products and enjoying smelling everything.

On Saturday we attended Dover’s first Collective Market at the Cruise Terminal at the Western Docks which has been beautifully converted from a Victorian railway station (who can still remember it as a station? My husband did.). Over a thousand people attended the market with all its food, craft, and art stalls as well as a visit by the local cadets. The music the cadet band played was amazing and a welcome surprise on the day. It was quite a lovely atmosphere with members of the public enjoying all the quirky and original crafts on offer as well as trying the delicious food and cakes. Serenity Mobile Massage also kept busy providing 20-minute massages to alleviate aches and pains.

The next one is on the 14th April remember to mark the date in your diaries so you don't miss out.

This weekend we are looking forward to attending the Full Moon Walk on Dover seafront which is raising funds for Breast Cancer research. Tracy organized and arranged it all with her committee of friends after her own Cancer scare. Read her story here :

She has done such a brilliant job, she has even arranged to have the castle lit up pink for the night. We are looking forward to supporting this event on the seafront as there are approximately 600 walkers attending. Please do come along and support this event. They have already raised over £16,000 in sponsorship. If you know someone who's taking part and haven't sponsored them yet please do so. The White Horse will be selling fund raising pink cocktails in honour of the event.

There are also live bands in most pubs in Dover Friday and Saturday night so you can refresh yourself and bop the night away afterwards. This weekend , it seems Dover is the place to be.
